Pogueology ‘A tribute to The Pogues’ came together in 2015 with a view to recreating the energy, mayhem and sheer party atmosphere of A Pogues live gig.
The band made national headlines at their first Electric Picnic festival when they literally brought the house down at Jimmy Lee's Juke Joint on the Friday of the festival. An overly-enthusiastic crowd made the band cut their set short when the floor collapsed in the venue.
The band got the official thumbs up from Pogues frontman, the late Shane MacGowan, who went to see the band numerous times. The 9-piece band came together in 2015 with a view to recreating the energy, mayhem and sheer party atmosphere of a Pogues live gig.
All the Pogues favourites are covered in the set including Streams of Whiskey, Sally McLennane, Fiesta, A Pair of Brown Eyes and Rainy Night in Soho.
The band have played a number of festivals in 2022 including the recent Forest Fest in Emo where they played to a packed 4,000 capacity tent.
Pogueology are confirmed to play Salty Dog stage at this year’s Electric Picnic again at what has become an annual gig of closing the Salty Dog Stage at the end of the festival.

The Dead Irish:
The Dead Irish rocked the Phil Lynott Stage back at our 2023 Feile. With influences ranging from Irish traditional music to the Clash, the Dead Irish formed in Dublin in 2021 when a group of musicians with their roots in punk rock got together to play the songs that inspire them.
In 2022 they released the "Four Corners of Hell" ep featuring a riotous version of "Morrisson's Jig" and 3 original songs. The Dead Irish have played at the Cosmic Garden festival in Ingah Co. Clare as well as Punk on the Peninsula in Dunoon, Scotland and most recently in Dublin supporting the Mahones. From Belfast to Berlin, venues always ask them back for more!
Sabbages:
Sabbages (The Cabbage Savages) are a chaotic, cabbage clad collective of Ceilí-Core Craci Connoisseurs that are coming to convey their creative concoction of chaotic trad-fusion Ceol.
With members from Monaghan, Galway, Dublin and the Goddammm States of Merica - with influences from further afield - they take trad tunes and make them go HARD AND FAST. With a mix of tradcore originals, cabbage theatrics and grunge misinterpretations of classic trad bops, they’re sure to get your toes tapping and your cabbages flapping. Yeooooo!
